The Walt Whitman High School baseball team will be the top seed in the 4A West region of the state championship tournament, the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association announced on Wednesday. The Vikings were the only Montgomery County team to receive a number one seed in the tournament.
First round play begins on Friday, with the finals to be held on May 25th and 26th at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen.
