SANDY SPRING, Md. — The Sherwood High School baseball team scored five first-inning runs and got a complete game from senior pitcher Grant Dickey on its way to a 10-1 win over visiting Yorktown on Saturday. Four different players drove in two runs each for the Warriors (2-0), who have scored a total of 38 runs over their first two games of the season.
Dickey struck out two and allowed four hits, two walks and one unearned run in seven innings to claim his first victory of the season. Third baseman Daniel Johnson hit his second home run in as many days and shortstop Mike Zerafa stole a base and scored three runs to pace the productive Sherwood offense.
