- Nicolas Fahs (Seneca Valley), Gus Gill (Walter Johnson), David Hesslink (Bethesda-Chevy Chase) and Robbie Metz (Poolesville) were selected for the 2012 Maryland Futures Team by the Maryland State Association of Baseball Coaches. The team will compete in a local tournament next month, play some Maryland colleges in August and September and then travel to Scottsdale, Ariz., in September to compete in the 2012 Perfect Game/EvoShield National Championship.
